A 38-year-old Modesto man faces charges of grand theft after he was seen stealing items from the Walmart Supercenter and intercepted by a Ceres Police officer on Tuesday morning, May 24.
The store reported the theft at 9:03 a.m. and when Officer Kao Saechao rolled to the store he learned the suspect had driven away with the stolen merchandise in a silver-colored Cadillac toward Don Pedro Road. Officer Saechao pulled over driver Nick Eisenla at Ninth Street and El Camino Blvd.
Officer Saechao spotted Walmart merchandise in the car along with drug paraphernalia. All occupants of the vehicle were detained, and an investigation was conducted.
Eisenla was identified as the responsible suspect and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for grand theft.
