A 41-year-old Ceres woman was arrested for drunken driving early Friday after being involved in a traffic crash at the intersection of Hatch Road and Moffett Road.
Officer Matthew Johnson just happened to roll up to a three vehicle traffic collision which had just happened at 2:06 a.m. He found Shelly Tyson, the driver of a white 2019 Dodge Caravan, displaying symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol and drugs. A DUI investigation was conducted and Tyson was arrested for DUI. Tyson submitted to a breath test and was found to have almost four times the legal amount of alcohol in her body. Tyson was also believed to be under the influence of a prescription drug as well. She was transported to a local area hospital and medically treated before being booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
