A 32-year-old Modesto woman was arrested last week for allegedly setting fire to a dumpster near Big 5 Sporting Goods at 1450 Hatch Road.

The fire was reported at 6:09 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31. Besides fire engines that rolled to the scene, Ceres Police Officer Salin Chrim-Marquez responded to interview witnesses who pointed out Greta Windrum, 32, of Modesto as the culprit who set the fire. Using their statements that she was last seen across Hatch Road in front of the Home Depot, officers found Windrum and made an arrest. She was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
