Woman wanted for auto theft found with meth

A 29-year-old Ceres woman wanted for an auto theft charge was arrested early Sunday morning and also found with a glass pipe and methamphetamine.

Tristan Avis, 29, of Ceres was spotted and recognized by Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza at 12:51 a.m. in the parking lot of Wendy’s at 1374 Hatch Road. A routine records check revealed her felony arrest warrant. 

She was booked for the warrant and new charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
