A 56-year-old Modesto woman with three arrest warrants was taken into custody after an officer saw her breaking the law as a pedestrian Thursday evening.

At 5:18 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Kyle Hatcher was patrolling the area of Whitmore Avenue and Fifth Street when he stopped Katrina Scott and learned through dispatchers of her three arrest warrants, one for theft. Scott was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
