Karla Soto Cuevas, a senior at Central Valley High, was proudly recognized as a Ceres Rotary Student of the Month on Nov. 9.  

Karla holds a GPA of 4.3 and is ranked second in her class.  She is competing for valedictorian by taking one honors class and four Advanced Placement classes, two of which are math courses.  Her excellence in math is demonstrated by earning the CUSD’s only perfect score in math on the 11th SBAC assessment. 

Karla plans to use her math skills to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering at a four-year university. Karla balances her rigorous academic schedule with her involvement in FFA and volunteering with the Interact club.
