For her continuous positive attitude toward peers, staff, and whatever task is assigned, Ceres High School student Andrea Rodriguez was honored as the “Girl of the Month” by the Soroptimist International of Ceres.

CHS officials have recognized that Rodriguez always carries a contagious smile and is always willing to help those around her. She works hard, helps those around her and has a positive attitude even when things are hard. Andrea encourages peers to do their best and isn’t afraid to try new things even if they are outside of her comfort zone.

She has been involved in several clubs on campus including Leadership, Women’s Empowerment, Future Latino Leaders, NAMI, PHAST, Rotary, and CHAD.

She has demonstrated success in the classroom by ranking first in her class and maintaining a 4.378 grade point average (GPA) and is recognized on the school campus as a leader amongst her peers. She is also a varsity athlete on the tennis team.

In addition to her ability to maintain a notable academic record, Andrea also spent time volunteering in the community and holding down a job at the new In-N-Out Burger.
