Blaker Kinser Junior High School’s team of seventh- and eighth-graders sent to compete in the weekend Stanislaus County Academic Pentathlon won first place while the team from Ross Middle School from Hughson claimed second place.
Taking third place was Great Valley Academy of Salida.
The annual program celebrates achievement and academic excellence in a team environment. Students competed in Speech, Mathematics, Fine Arts, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies.
