Harvest Presbyterian Church, 1813 Moffett Rd., Ceres, is bringing the Central Valley Brass back for a free concert on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m.

The brass quintet, comprised of Robert Stone and Evan Maxfield on trumpet, Karen Bucio on the horn, Byron Yerzy on trombone and Dan Olivas on tuba, will perform a variety of music. Selections include such well known tunes as “Over the Rainbow,” “Blue Skies,” and “Just a Closer Walk.” A Henry Mancini medley offers the “Baby Elephant Walk,” “The Pink Panther,” “Moon River” and “Peter Gunn.”
Opera fans will enjoy selections from Carmen including the “Overture,” “Habanera” and the well-known “Toreador Song.”
The group will also perform the Throne Room theme from Star Wars.
A selection written by lead trumpeter Robert Stone, is titled, “Toy Soldier’s March” and is one movement from Mr. Stone’s Suite for Brass titled “Childhood Impressions.”
From the massive literature of brass chamber music the group will select Ewald’s Quintet No. I, Op. 5.
As a distinct contrast they will also play “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, the 2021 animated Disney feature film.
