The Ceres Chamber of Commerce helped Gina Rojas celebrate her taking over the long standing business of Floral Cottage recently with a ribbon cutting event.

Rojas took over the business on June 30 upon the retirement of Denise Boyd who started the business 25 years prior.

Boyd decided to retire “to become a professional grandma” upon the July birth of her first grandchild to daughter Kimberly. In announcing her departure, Boyd said on Facebook: “To all my customers over the 25 years of me running this wonderful little flower shop I say thank you for keeping me in business all these years even through the tough times.”

The custom floral shop is located at 2445 E. Whitmore Avenue, Suite 114, Ceres and may be reached at 209-538-7673.
