The Ceres Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Movie Night & a car show this Friday evening at Whitmore Park. The event begins at 6 p.m. with the availability of food sales from mobile food vendors and snack booths and a car show.

The movie, Pixar’s Cars will be shown on a big screen in the park.

Persons may register to participate in the showing of their classic car on the Chamber of Commerce website or in-person at 2904 Fourth Street, Ceres.

Golf tournament

The Chamber is also sponsoring the River Classic Golf Tournament 2024 on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at River Oaks Golf Course, 3441 Golf Links Road, Ceres. The event begins with a 7 a.m. check-in and 8 a.m. start and includes four-man scramble, ball drop, putting contest and men/women long drive.

The tournament costs $500 for a team of four with proceeds benefitting local charities. Registration is available at www.cereschamber.com

Wine 101 event

The Chamber is hosting a Thursday, August 15 event called ‘Wine 101: An Introduction to Wine Appreciation” workshop so that attendees can discover the rich world of wine. 

Perfect for novices and connoisseurs alike, winemaker and Ceres Chamber of Commerce Board Member Paul Huckaba will guide attendees through a journey of tasting, pairing and understanding wine.

The wine appreciation workshop will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at DeLorenzi Cellar & Events, 2307 Magnolia Street, Ceres.
