The free Ceres Concerts in the Park series kicked off on Tuesday evening at Whitmore Park with a performance of “Sonhouse Blues and Gospel Band.”
Eight more concerts will be held Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. with food available from various vendors on site. Concerts will end at around 8:30 p.m.
This year’s Concerts in the Park series will run until July 30.
The concert line-up is as follows:
• June 11 – ONDA Band.
• June 18 – Los Realos Del Norte
• June 25 – “Gotcha Country”
• July 2 – “Off the Hook”
• July 9 – “Gidha & Bhangra”
• July 16 – Savannah Clark
• July 23 – “Lavonne and the Trainwreck”
• July 30 – Greg Scudder and the “Honky Tonk Heroes.”
Those attending are invited to be comfortable by bringing along a lawn chair or blanket as the City Recreation Department presents each night with live music, food (for sale), and games. Of course, concert goers may also bring their own picnic and food items.
Whitmore Park is located in downtown Ceres on Third Street near Highway 99.
