The discovery of a deceased man in a River Road trailer park prompted the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department to launch into a homicide investigation.

The deceased, believed to be in his 70s, was inside the trailer when deputies entered at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The park is in the 700 block of River Road in the unincorporated area of Modesto north of Ceres.

The Sheriff’s Department has not identified the victim.

No arrests have been made.
