Grocery Outlet Bargain Market will officially open its new store at 1611 E. Hatch Road in Ceres Thursday morning.

The new store has created 31 new jobs and provides big savings on name-brand, high quality merchandise for consumers.

Grocery Outlet claims to offer the same trusted brands as traditional grocery stores at lower prices.

Grocery Outlet stores are independently operated by local families who are committed to supporting their communities.

“We are so thrilled to be a part of the Ceres community and provide some relief with big savings on quality groceries,” said independent operators Roger and Heidi Custer. “This partnership with Grocery Outlet gives us the ability to grow our business, create new jobs and more importantly, give back to the local community.”

The store will open with a 10 a.m. Ceres Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting event that will also include the Custers donating $1,000 to the Salvation Army Red Shield Center.

The first 100 adult customers attending the grand opening will receive gift cards in amounts ranging from $5 to $500. In addition, all shoppers receive a free limited-edition reusable bag while supplies last.

The grand opening will also include free chimichurri tacos supplied by Branding Iron Rancher Trailer food truck on the site.

In celebration of the opening, until Oct. 12, customers may enter for a chance to win $1,000 in groceries. To enter, customers may access the online contest.

Entry must include a valid, working email address where the entrant can be notified. The winner need not be present to win but must claim the prize within three days of notification, or

forfeit to another winner. No cash value and no substitutions, prize distributed over (20) $50 rewards certificates.

The new store will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
