The Ceres Library will see a busy month of special activities for youngsters and their families.
Story times will be skipped on Sept. 9 but resumes on Tuesdays, Sept. 16, 23 and 30 at 10:30 a.m. Persons of all ages are welcome to hear Children's Librarian Michelle Coxford read stories but the event is geared for those in the 3 to 5 year old range.
A new Coupon Class for adults ill be held Wednesdays in September starting Sept. 10 and continuing on Sept. 17 and 24 at 11 a.m.
Children may be treated to a Perler Beads craft from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4. Children under 5 must have a participating parent. The event, sponsored by the Friends of the Ceres Library, will allow children to take home colorful designs they create.
Lego Days are being offered 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 11, 18 and 25. Children may come down and play with the library's Lego collection.
The week of Sept. 15-20, the Library will celebrate Pirate Week. Patrons may guess how much treasure is stored in the jar inside the library. The person who comes closest to the count will win the treasure.
