First 5 Stanislaus and other agencies will be hosting a Ceres Community Baby Shower community event celebrating and supporting expectant and new parents in Ceres.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, May 16 at the Ceres Partnership Family Resource Center, 1317 Grandview Ave., Ceres.
This collaborative event is being hosted by Ceres Partnership, WIC, First 5 Stanislaus, Health Plan of San Joaquin, and Stanislaus County Oral Health, and is open to WIC participants in the Ceres area.
“Our goal is to help families learn what to expect postpartum and connect them with the many incredible resources available in our community,” said Jasmine Gutierrez, a Marketing Coordinator for First 5 Stanislaus.
Information will be made available from several local community-based organizations, including:
• Safe Sleep/SIDS
• Safe Kids Stanislaus
• La Familia
• Livingston Community Health
• Agape’ Flow Studio
Sessions will be offered in both English and Spanish on what to expect post-partum. The English classes are offered at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. while the Spanish classes will be at 10 a.m. and 12 noon.
Refreshments, giveaways and raffle prizes will be offered but attendance in a class is required to participate in the raffle.
