Bicyclist on South Ninth
The South Ninth Street Corridor has many needs which the county intends to address.

As part of Stanislaus County’s efforts to develop a plan for the South Ninth Street corridor between Ceres and downtown Modesto, the county invites residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to attend a public workshop on the draft plan review on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Tuolumne Elementary School, 707 Herndon Road.

The workshop will focus on the design team’s recommendations in the draft South Ninth Street Corridor Plan developed after receiving community input in March. Participants will have a chance to share comments about the proposals for improving the roadway along South Ninth Street and the county’s vision for redevelopment opportunities within the corridor.

The draft plan is available for review and public comment at https://bit.ly/S9thStPlan until Nov. 9.

Stanislaus County is creating a plan to identify opportunities for public roadway improvements and infill growth along South Ninth Street and vicinity. The county recognizes the importance of South Ninth Street as a regional resource serving multiple jurisdictions. The plan offers a comprehensive planning strategy to promote infrastructure improvements and economic growth.

Free food and refreshments will be available, and children are welcome. Spanish interpreters will be available.
