A 27-year-old Sacramento man sustained fatal injuries last week after falling from a moving car during a Hatch Road physical altercation.

The incident happened early Monday, July 11 in the 1500 block of Hatch Road.

Ceres Police Department reported that they were called at 2:32 a.m. regarding a disturbance. Officers learned that Gary Lee was reported to be on top of a moving vehicle as he was actively trying to assault the driver. At some point, Lee fell from the vehicle and sustained major injuries.

Lee was treated at the scene and transported to a local area hospital where he later was pronounced dead.
