Rotarians honor CHS senior Julka

Atul Julka
Helping to honor Atul Julka as “Student of the Month” at Friday’s meeting of the Ceres Rotary Club were grandmother Sunita Julka, mother Bhawana Julka and Central Valley High School Principal Rita Menezes.

Ceres High School senior Atul Julka was honored as “Student of the Month” by the Ceres Rotary Club on Friday.

School officials say Atul’s friendly personality and spirited nature are what make him a great leader for the positive impact he makes at school and in the community. They use the words “ambitious, preserving and dedicated” to describe why Atul Julka was chosen for the honor. 

During his four years at Ceres High, Julka has been involved in various clubs and athletics, contributing to him being a well-rounded individual. He is considered one of the most mature students on campus, is respectful, friendly, and is known for his kindness, personal character, and integrity.

Atul has maintained a 4.408 grade point average (GPA).

He has dedicated countless volunteer hours to feeding the homeless through his church and has been recognized with a community service award by his Sikh temple. He has also volunteered for “Love Ceres” and other organizations through club involvement.

Julka plans to further his education by majoring in finance at UC Berkeley, UCLA, or a private out-of-state university. in hopes of becoming an investment banker.
