The Ceres Unified School District is now enrolling children in transitional kindergarten (TK) and kindergarten for the 2025-26 school year. Families who have not yet completed the enrollment process are invited to a TK/Kindergarten Registration Fair set for 4:20 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15 in the Argus/Endeavor multiuse room, 2555 Lawrence Street, Ceres.
Free taco dinners, children’s activities and resources will be offered and teachers will be on hand to meet incoming students and their families. Newly enrolled TK and Kindergarten students will receive a free backpack containing books and school supplies to help get their educational journey off to a strong start.
To be eligible for transitional kindergarten, children must be at least four years old by Sept. 1, 2025.
“Transitional Kindergarten lays a strong foundation for young learners, equipping them with essential skills and confidence for lifelong academic success,” said Kirsten Saint, director of Elementary Education.
Families with younger children may also attend the TK/Kindergarten Registration Fair to learn more about CUSD’s Preschool program.
In addition to quality instruction by credentialed teachers, Ceres Unified School District offers free after-school care until 6 p.m., student Chromebooks, strong social-emotional supports, free school meals and free summer programs.
To complete the registration process, families are asked to bring their child’s birth certificate and immunization record, a utility bill, and a second proof of residence to the registration fair.
