The city has made applications available for three vacancies that will be coming up on the city’s Measure H Oversight Committee.

The committee is selected by the City Council and meets at least twice per year.

Applications may be downloaded from the city’s website, www.ci.ceres.ca.us and at Ceres City Hall, 2220 Magnolia Street and must be returned to the City Clerk by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 7.

One of the members whose term is expiring on June 30 wants to be reappointed. Appointments are expected on June 24.

The five-member Measure H Oversight Committee is responsible for conducting annual reviews of the expenditures made under the half-cent Public Safety sales tax.

Residents of Ceres are encouraged to apply but employees, officials, contractors or vendors of the city cannot apply.

For additional information, call City Clerk Diane Nayares-Perez at 538-5731.
