A memorial service was held Saturday at the Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel in Turlock for Benito Cordova Guerrero, 52, of Ceres. He died July 6, 2011 in Modesto with his family at his side.
Born Feb. 13, 1959 in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico, Benito immigrated to the United States in 1980. He was a diligent farm worker who enjoyed the great outdoor. he was a truck driver for Valley Intermodal Systems and later worked as a mechanic on eighteen wheelers. Mr. Guerrero enjoyed rodeos, dancing, and being with family, friends.
He leaves behind his son Gabriel Guerrero of Ceres; his grandson, Isaac Guerrero of Ceres; longtime companion Marta of Ceres, and 10 brothers and sisters living in Mexico, Tennessee, and California.
