Graveside services were held Saturday at Ceres Memorial Park for Cecilia A. Ortiz, 85, of Ceres. She died on Nov. 22, 2008, her 85th birthday, in the hospital after a brief bout of pneumonia.
Born Nov. 22, 1923 in Los Angeles, Cecilia was raised in San Francisco, and moved to Ceres in 1980. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, leaving behind her children, Yolanda Haines, Raul Fuentes, De Anna Whitehead, Antonio Fuentes, Pablo Fuentes, and David Fuentes; and eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
