A graveside service was held Tuesday in the Hyland Garden, at Lakewood Memorial Park for Doris E. Williams, 78, of Ceres. She died June 20, 2011 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson surrounded by her family.
Born Feb. 19, 1933 in Hobbs, New Mexico to J.D. and Fanny Glenn, Doris grew up in Turlock and graduated from Turlock High School. She has resided in Ceres for the last 47 years. Mrs. Williams was a respiratory therapist for 15 years before her retirement. She was an avid music lover, especially jazz. She attended many concerts throughout the Valley.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 53 years, Allan Williams of Ceres; her children, Kristin Joseph and Brian Williams; and three grandchildren, Nichole Joseph, Amanda Joseph and Tyler Joseph.
