A memorial service was held Monday at Turlock Funeral Home Chapel for Doris Rohde, 103. She died Oct. 13, 2010.
Born Oct. 4, 1907 in Santa Rosa to Hubert and Eppie Comstock, Doris was a graduate of the University of the Pacific. She taught for 30 years in the Ceres Unified School District, primarily at Caswell School. Mrs. Rohde was a charter member of the Persephone Guild in Ceres, and a member of the Ceres First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her son, Ray Rohde; her three grandchildren, Kevin Rohde, Robin, Ray Rohde Jr.; and three great-granddaughters, Caitlin, Hannah and Lauren. She was preceded in death by husband Arendt Rohde, four sisters and two brothers.
Remembrances may be sent to Hospice of Emanuel and American Diabetes Association.
