Lakewood Memorial Park was in charge of private arrangements and cremation for Edward K. Mayfield, 93, of Ceres. He died of natural causes on Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Modesto's Evergreen Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center.
Born Sept. 18, 1910, Mr. Mayfield was a native of Arkansas and lived in Ceres for 25 years. He was retired from Cal Tech in Southern California where he was a laboratory technician for 30 years. Mr. Mayfield enjoyed cars, golfing and Sunday rides.
He leaves behind his caregiver, Alberta D'Alessandro of Ceres.
