The rosary was held Monday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Francisco Lopez Arroyo, 79, of Modesto. He died Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center.
A Mass was held Tuesday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres, followed by burial at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born June 4, 1925, Mr. Arroyo was a native of Michoacn, Mexico, and had lived in Modesto since 1960. He was a farmer for 40 years. Mr. Arroyo was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres.
He leaves behind his wife, Magdalena Arroyo of Modesto; seven children, Alfonso Arroyo, Maria Arroyo and Javier Arroyo, all of Modesto, Yolanda Arroyo of Oxnard, Josefina Arroyo of Oregon, Daniel Arroyo of Brentwood and Bernardo Arroyo of Chicago; and 40 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Marcelino Arroyo.
