Irvin Park Sr.

October 1, 1935 – June 26, 2024

Irvin Park Sr. of Ceres passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at his home with his son Steve Park and his grandchildren Amanda Park and Aaron Park by his side.

He was born in Texas on October 1, 1935 to the late Luther Irvin Park and Rahford Sarah Grey. He married Loretta Long on August 23, 1954 in Empire, Calif. Irvin and Loretta moved to Ceres in 1961. She preceded him in death on August 19, 2018.

He was part of the Ceres Police Reserves for 10 years of service and worked for the Louis Rich plant for 35 years. He enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, going to Pismo Beach and camping in Yosemite.

He is survived by two sons, Frederick Steven Park and wife Laurianna of Modesto, and Skip Park and wife Kathy of Modesto; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Keith Clarence Park and Bill Park; and sisters, Mattie Salsbury, Jean Chapman, Pat Snodgrass, Vivian Payne and Geneva Bread.

A Celebration of Life for Irvin is set for Saturday, July 6 at Smyrna Park Ceres from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
