A graveside service was held Monday at Denair Cemetery for Jimmy Thomas, 68, of Turlock. He died on July 29, 2011 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Born July 1943 in Modesto to J.B and Othal Thomas, Jim was raised in Hughson, and after high school served in the Navy. He was a heavy equipment operator for Operator Engineering Unions #3 and #302. Jim was a member of the Turlock Masonic Lodge #395. He enjoyed fishing and traveling.
He leaves behind his children, Jimmie "Hugo" Thomas of Denair and Denise Huffman of Carmichael; his sisters, Betty Jost of Lodi and Judy Castro of Hughson; his brother, John Stark of Hughson; his grandchildren, Margaret Rodriguez of Turlock, Jeremy Hall of Denair and Nathan Huffman of Carmichael; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Coy Stark.
