A Celebration of Life will be held sometime in January for John Ernest Allen, 91, of Ceres. He died Dec. 15, 2010 in Modesto.
Born Feb. 18, 1919 in Ansonia, Ct., John spent most of his life owning and managing restaurants and bars in Oklahoma City. Mr. Allen lived in Ceres for the past 7 years.
He leaves behind his children John Allen, Bonnie Coleman Moniz and Pam Hall; his stepchildren, Michelle Rice, Larry Rice; his grandchildren, Mark Rossi, Shawn Medefesser, Dawn O'Connor, Johnny Allen, Shannon Rossi Ellis, Jason Allen, Jamie Miller, Ryan Barnett, Cody Rice and Josh Rice; and 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
