A graveside service was held Tuesday afternoon at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman for June Bettencourt Lightfoot, 78, of Hughson. She died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center.
The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born June 1, 1926, Mrs. Lightfoot was a native of Gustine and lived in Hughson for two years. She previously lived in Monterey, Ceres and Gustine. She was a department manager and worked in retail sales. Mrs. Lightfoot graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing.
She leaves behind her husband, Walter Lightfoot of Hughson; two children, Jim Merett of San Luis Obispo and Diane Reid of Carmel Valley; and one grandchild.
