A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Sunshine Tabernackle Church, 1535 Eureka, Modesto, for Lola Mae Sanny Medlin, 87, of Ceres. She died Feb. 3, 2012.
Born Oct. 30, 1924 in Iowa, Lola came to Modesto with her parents, Charles and Emma Sanny, and brothers Lorne, Lenard and Lester, when she was eight years old. She attended Modesto High School where she met the love of her life Virgil "Bud" Medlin whom she married in 1944 until his death 58 years later. She raised two sons, David L. Medlin and Raymond C. Medlin.
Survivors include her four grandchildren, Heather Medlin, Rochell Bellows, Tammy Medlin and Raymond Medlin II; and five great-grandchildren.
