Evins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Manuel Adrian Mendes, 81, of Ceres. He died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at his home.
Born July 20, 1923, Mr. Mendes was a native of Ferndale and lived in Ceres 27 years. He was a self-employed dairy farmer for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Madaline Mendes of Ceres; children, Manuel Gene Mendes of San Jose and Ernie Mendes of Ceres; brothers, Daniel Mendes of Modesto, and Joe Mendes and Melvin Mendes, both of Crows Landing; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother; and two sisters.
