The rosary will be at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday), during visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Mathilda "Tillie" Lopez Candelaria, 78, of Modesto. She died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at her home.
A Mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres. A graveside service to follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
Born July 30, 1926, Mrs. Candelaria was a native of Grants, N.M., and had lived in Modesto since 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres.
She leaves behind two children, Roger Candelaria of San Jose and Ebon Kent of Brentwood; her brother, Juan Lopez of Hayward; two sisters, Frances Dominguez of Hayward and Rosalia Lopez of Modesto; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Candelaria; daughter, Antoinette "Toni" Sojka; and one sister.
