A celebration of life will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Fruit Yard Restaurant for Robert Roy Cloud, 80, of Modesto died May 1, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.

Born Dec. 2, 1924, Mr. Cloud was a native of Asheville, N.C., and lived in Modesto for 20 years and previously lived in Oakdale 25 years. Mr. Cloud worked with sheet metal, primarily at Schmolek Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3199 in Ceres. Mr. Cloudd was a craftsman who enjoyed archery, fishing and painting.
He leaves behind his wife, Bettina K. Cloud of Modesto; his son, William N. Cloud of La Grange; and three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Lynette Cloud.
