Steven John Derby passed away unexpectedly Sept. 23, 2019 at his home.

He was a lifelong resident of Ceres born November 18, 1967.

Another obituary will follow in November prior to his Celebration of Life with details about his wonderful life.

Those who wish to celebrate with family and friends should please mark the calendar for Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 to meet at the Ceres American Legion Hall for an open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, Steven was very interested in the Modesto Salvation Army Red Shield Center and their work with kids who need a safe haven and recreational area. The address is P. O. Box 580480, Modesto, CA 95358.

If you feel inclined, a donation of blood, which he called the gift of life, would be another option. He had donated over 12 gallons.
