Evins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Venancio Pemba, 38, of Modesto. He died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center.
Burial will be in Soyo, Angola.
Born April 1, 1966, Mr. Pemba was a native of Soyo, Angola, and lived in Modesto for four years. He owned Sunrise Trucking Co. in Ceres for three years and was a member of the Kimbanguist Church in Kinshasa, Republic of Congo.
He leaves behind his wife, Graca Dikatuka of Modesto; four children, Venancio Pemba Jr. and Ndongo Pemba, both of Modesto, and Isaura Marie Pemba and Joana Pemba, both of Germany; his mother, Celina Lungoma of Luanda, Angola; two brothers, Elysen Miala and Nsou Miala, both of Luanda, Angola; and three sisters, Nkay Margarida Miala and Zozo Miala, both of Luanda, and Isabel Massissa of Tracy.
