Election proves legacy media has lost credibility
Opinion

The Trump Derangement Syndrome is palpable throughout the nation and it’s inexplicable. It may indicate the level of mental illness in our country, especially among young females. TikTok is full of insanely emotional drama queens crying and screaming about Harris losing her presidential bid.

Typically those suffering from TDS are those who religiously watch MSNBC where the hosts spin and lie through their teeth about Donald Trump, our new (and former) president. Their hatred of the man is remarkable.

CNN is also always good for hyperbole and dishonest reporting. The Trump rally at the Madison Square Garden venue included one comedian who joked about Puerto Rico being an island of garbage. The comedian is obsessed with garbage in the ocean matters and was referencing the fact that Puerto Rico has an issue with managing its waste. He was not calling the people of Puerto Rico garbage but the media twisted his words. Wolfe Blitzer suggested the comments were “really vile, racist, very hateful rhetoric.” So if you’re a non-thinking sponge and go by the serious edits of the biased media network, then you’ll likely believe Trump is actually Hitler incarnate. Those who are able to discern truth know that is not the case and apparently the majority of Americans rejected their spin and the fact that Harris had no policies other than she wouldn’t change a change about Biden’s policies.

Joe Scarborough also spun his lies about the comedian’s joke, saying he “basically calling Puerto Ricans trash.” Again, the joke was referencing the trash problem.

One of my brothers has been suffering from TDS for years (but he has also some psychological issues well known to the family). He texted me this on Oct. 3, 2023: “Trump is going to prison and losing everything he has. BIGGEST LOSER IN THE WORLD!!!! Hahahahaha. Republicans sure pick losers.” He about lost it when I said no, Trump was going to be president again.

When he baited me into a political argument via text in August, 2023, I told him that his hatred for the man is very unbecoming and his response was “Yes. I hate one person in the world like most of the educated world.” Three comments later he wrote: “We all want to torture him and give him a slow painful death as he’s caused so much pain.” My response: “You’re sick.”

That kind of inexplicable hatred can only be explained by the deceptive media which Americans are finally waking up to understanding that MSNBC and CNN are only mouthpieces for the Democratic Party. We’ve come a long way since the days of Walter Cronkite – who was a leftie but didn’t wear it on his sleeve. We all miss Johnny Carson because he was not only funny and engaging but didn’t tick off his audience with political nonsense.

Congratulations to Javier Lopez and Cerina Otero for their election to the Ceres City Council.

There was no clear mandate for Javier Lopez at the polls. He barely squeaked by Gary Condit and if Rosalinda Vierra hadn’t entered the race, most of her support would likely gone to Condit. Essentially, based on Thursday night’s vote update, there were 3,518 votes for Lopez and 4,642 votes for other candidates.

On the other hand, if Condit hadn’t entered the race and split the vote, Vierra possibly could have been the victor.

Lopez went negative and nasty with his campaign mailers – and spent gobs of money doing so – and while that may work with the impressionable stranger to city government, it’s a shame that that is how somebody wins votes in a local mayoral race. Typically you see those negative mailers coming out of state legislative, congressional and Senate campaigns.

An insider told us that Lopez capitalized on his ethnicity by targeting a Latino-centric message to Latino voters and targeting Republicans to vote for him because he is a registered Republican even though: a). the office is non-partisan; and b). he doesn’t fit my ideal of a Republican. He’s essentially been an empty suit the past four years.

Stanislaus County showed that it is still a red county. While about 39.8 percent of California voters chose Trump over Harris, in Stanislaus County supported Trump over Harris by a margin of 55.2 percent to 42.7 percent. The county did vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

California is less blue than it used to be despite conservatives fleeing the state. As of the vote count last week, 39.7 percent of California voters chose Trump while 57.6 percent chose Harris. This is significant because in 2020, Trump generated 44.7 percent to Joe Biden’s 53.5 percent.

So Gavin Newsom does not speak for me and the rest of red California when he talks about California values. His values (baby killing for example), do not jive with mine whatsoever. So when he spouted off about Trump’s victory it was typical Newsom.

Newsom fired off the warning that he will be the firewall for Trump’s policies. He wants, for example, for us here to pay more for gasoline. Greasy Gavin is a clown who hopefully will never be president.

Newsom wants to call a special session of the state Legislature to “Trump proof” California. I wish the Legislature would tell him to go pound sand.

State Senator Marie Alvarado-Gil, who used to be a Democrat until she became a Republican, is the Tulsi Gabbard of California. She responded to Newsom’s call as “another example of how disconnected the governor and progressives are from everyday Californians. Rising costs, surging crime, the need for better economic opportunities, and a chance for families to thrive — these are the issues that people care about.

“Californians know that the supermajority’s agenda has abandoned them, and leaves behind the most vulnerable it claims to protect. The people have had enough, and they made that crystal clear by passing Proposition 36—a crucial step toward making our communities safer.

“In the recent special session on gas prices, Republicans put forward real solutions only to see them dismissed for yet another one-sided approach. Will this session deliver more of the same? Instead of knee-jerk theatrics, this should be an opportunity to work together and focus on actually improving Californians’ lives.”

Judging by his failing approval numbers, I think most people by now realize that Gavin Newsom only cares about promoting his chances of higher office, not improving the lives of those who suffer from his rule.

President-elect Trump fired back, writing: “Governor Gavin Newscum is trying to KILL our Nation’s beautiful California. For the first time ever, more people are leaving than are coming in. He is using the term ‘Trump-Proof’ as a way of stopping all of the GREAT things that can be done to ‘Make California Great Again,’ but I just overwhelmingly won the election. People are being forced to leave due to his & others’ INSANE POLICY DECISIONS, like the ridiculously rerouting of MILLIONS OF GALLONS OF WATER A DAY FROM THE NORTH OUT INTO THE PACIFIC OCEAN, rather than using it, free of charge, for the towns, cities, & farms dotted all throughout California. They are making it impossible to build a reasonably priced car, the unchecked and unbalanced homeless catastrophe, & the cost of EVERYTHING, in particular groceries IS OUT OF CONTROL.

Also, as an ‘AGENT’ for the United States of America on Voting & Elections, I will be DEMANDING THAT VOTER I.D., AND PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP ARE A NECESSARY PART AND COMPONENT.”

There you go, Trump speaking up for the state forcing us to dump our reservoir water out to the ocean for fish purposes.

Does Newsom realize that long before white man started building dams that rivers like Stanislaus and Merced were basically choked off pools here and there in late summer and early fall? Fish didn’t have a chance.

We don’t build dams for fish. We build them for people! We build them to store water for farming and now municipal water source.

The Modesto Bee has proven once more just how leftist it has become, running an editorial written by another newspaper calling for Donald Trump to take the oath of office from a jail cell.

Consider what Bill Dalton says in his op-ed: “New York judge must do the unthinkable - and correct - thing to Donald Trump.» He wants the leader of the free world to be jailed. Anybody who is honest with himself knows the New York case against him was designed only to take him out politically. Most Americans saw through this political chicanery and elected him anyway.

Dalton can’t seem to get over the fact that the American people “did the unthinkable — they elected a convicted felon president.” Translation: He’s upset that the American people didn’t fall for the trumped up legal charges organized by the Democrats in an election season and probably more upset that the media’s incessant drum beat of “Orange Man Bad” or “Trump is Hitler” didn’t faze the majority of Americans. People are smarter than that and they know they can’t trust the journalistic malpractice of the leftists in the media farther than they can throw him. Influencers in social media like Joe Rogan have more power now than the Joy Reid types and that has them second guessing their own value in life. And it burns them to no end.

Dalton suggests Trump would pardon himself and walk free but thinks that jailing the president-elect would “send an unmistakable message — the rule of law still rules in America.” No, it would send a message that Democrat operatives can bring charges against a political opponent and punish him for the audacity of running for office a third time. It’s an abject misuse of the judicial system and Americans repudiated it big time by handing Trump 312 votes.

Besides, ask yourself why hasn’t Hillary Clinton faced sentencing for her crimes relating to mishandling of misinformation? What about the Biden family reaping millions for selling access to “the big guy”? Should we jail Biden? Or do we only expect Trump to get a taste of Democratic Party retribution from a Democrat judge?
