I commend Assemblyman Chris DeMaio for speaking about what is really going on behind closed doors, (“How new California Assembly members are taught how to duck accountability” published Dec. 23), however most of us had at least an inkling that politicians pretty much do as they please and are accountable to the highest bidder. And it isn’t just in the state Assembly. His proposed reforms should be for all branches of goverment, state and federal.

The biggest problem I see with his reform contract is the same people skirting the law are the same ones who will kill this bill too.
