Disappointed by the city over CYSO fee hike plans
Letters

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I’m deeply disappointed that the City of Ceres even considered raising fees on a nonprofit organization like the Ceres Youth Soccer Organization.

As someone who sponsors 55 teams each year, this issue is incredibly close to my heart. These kids and their families rely on affordable access to the soccer fields at Ceres River Bluff Regional Park, and it’s crucial that we continue to support their passion for the sport without adding financial burdens.

I’m relieved that the city has backed off from this plan, but I hope we can work together to ensure that our community’s youth programs remain accessible to everyone. Let’s keep the focus on empowering our kids, not creating obstacles for them.

Harinder S. Toor,

Ceres
