Ceres Mayor Javier Lopez needs to acknowledge the contributions of others in his recent efforts.

On June 20, Mayor Lopez posted a video on Instagram discussing his involvement in trying to bring Chick-fil-A to the city of Ceres. However, this announcement failed to recognize Councilwoman Rosalinda Vierra’s initial efforts, who initiated the conversation regarding this matter. Furthermore, on May 22, the Ceres Courier published an article highlighting Rosalinda’s mission to bring Chick-fil-A to Ceres. Rosalinda has not just talked about bringing Chick-fil-A to Ceres; Rosalinda has actually reached out to representatives from Chick-Fil-A.

While the mayoral election in Ceres is still some time away, Mayor Javier Lopez’s actions, specifically taking credit for the work of others, are unprofessional.
