Editor, Ceres Courier,
On Tuesday, August 5, Ceres hosted in its annual National Night Out, where our community celebrates neighbors, friendship and public safety, as well as encourages individuals to get to know their public safety officers and work together to strengthen collaboration between local law enforcement and the community.
I am proud to have participated in this event and would like to personally recognize the organizers, participants and dignitaries who participated, including Senator Anthony Cannella's staff, who were present to show their support for our community.
As an active member in the community, I greatly appreciate events like National Night Out. They encourage to get to know our neighbors, our public safety agencies and our public officials, but most important, it instills a strong sense of community, and to me, that's the magic that makes a community like Ceres thrive.
Senator Cannella and his staff have always been actively involved in our community, and I appreciate his commitment to supporting safe communities and public safety through his work in Sacramento. Our Ceres National Night Out once again affirms my belief that we live in a city where individuals, agencies and organizations truly care for one another, and that makes me so grateful to call this city home.
Shelia Brandt,
Ceres
