Editor, Ceres Courier,
Donald Trump is president of the United States. Because of freezing weather, the inauguration was moved into the Capitol Rotunda, leaving his supporters out in the cold. That shouldn’t have been a problem; Trump supporters know how to get into the Capitol. But, now that Donald Trump has been inaugurated, what can we expect?
My prediction is that Trump voters will be thrown under the bus. Trump no longer needs you. Trump has control of the Executive Branch, the legislative branch, the Judicial Branch of the Federal Government and the conservative main stream media. Trump has the support of Fox News, the support of Elon Musk, the richest person in the world and owner of X, Jeff Bezos, the second richest person in America and owner of Amazon, and Mark Zukerberg, the third richest person in America and owner of Facebook and Instagram. These and other super wealthy are the 21st century “robber barons.”
Trump will not be running again for president. He no longer needs MAGA voters or their support. I predict that Trump will do what his billionaire friends want. They want power and control: Trump will give the economic elites huge tax break at the expense of the working class and those of us that are retired. Also, I predict that Trump’s tariffs and migration policies will raise prices and increase inflation and these economic policies will add to the national debt.
Trump will do all these things with the support of our congressman, Tom McClintock. Congressman McClintock’s loyalty is not to you or the Constitution; it’s to Donald Trump and the Republican Party.
Donald Trump voters: is this what you voted for? At what point will you become disillusioned with Trump and his Republican sidekicks? What does Trump have to do to make you realize our country elected the wrong person to be president of the United States and the wrong people to serve in Congress? When you come to that realization, you are more than welcome to join the resistance.
