Ceres High’s second-place girls, boys teams 5-1 in WAC

Ceres High’s varsity track and field program had a host of athletes contribute during its sweep of host Mountain House this past week.

Ceres High’s second-place girls team dominated Mountain House 84-38 on April 17.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-1 in Western Athletic Conference dual-meet standings.

Azar Harrison finished first in the 800 (2:27) and 400 (1:01), and second in the 200 (28.13).

Mercedez Wood finished first in the shot put (31-1) and second in the discus (83-51/2).

Kaylee Hunt finished first in the 1,600 (5:25) and discus (91-8), and third in the shot put (26-11/2). She set a personal record in the 1,600.

Allison Stiles finished first in the high jump (4-2), second in the 100 (13.38) and third in the 100 hurdles (19.07). She set a personal record in the 100.

Jackie Rodriguez finished first in the 3,200 (15:02) and third in the 1,600 (6:36).

Bianca De Los Reyes finished first in the 300 hurdles (58.88), third in the triple jump (30-0) and fifth in the triple jump (13-9).

Catryna Marquez finished second in the 400 (1:10.85) and fourth in the triple jump (29-8).

Destiny Suarez finished second in the 800 (2:46) and 1,600 (6:13).

Shania Evans finished first in the triple jump (31-7) and second in the long jump (14-10). She set a personal record in the long jump.

Makayla Anderson finished second in the shot put (28-0) and third in the discus (54-8).

Alyssa Stiles finished second in the triple jump (31-5) and fourth in the long jump (14-41/2).

Zinnia Velasquez finished third in the 400 (1:13.52).

Andrea Contreras finished third in the 800 (2:50).

Elizabeth Mercado finished fourth in the 400 (1:16.87).

Bella Curry finished fourth in the 100 (14.36).

Gabby Soto finished fourth in the 300 hurdles (1:03).

Alizae Vargas finished fifth in the 300 hurdles (1:07).

Ceres High’s 4x400 relay team of Suarez, Harrison, Curry and De Los Reyes finished first (4:46).

Ceres High’s second-place boys team improved to 5-1 following its 73-48 triumph over Mountain House.

Daniel Yepez finished first in the 110 hurdles (17.60) and 300 hurdles (43.92).

Bryan Erenas finished first in the 200 (23.49).

He set a personal record while taking second in the 100 (11.65).

Aaron Alarcon finished first in the 800 (2:11) and second in the triple jump (36-7).

Isaac Vizcaino set a personal record while finishing first in the 400 (54.35).

He finished second in the 800 (2:14).

Josh Garcia finished first in the discus (111-0) and third in the shot put (34-8).

Elijah Vas Dinis finished first in the 3,200 (11:50), second in the 1,600 (5:17) and third in the 800 (2:21). He set a personal record in the 800.

Gonzalo Rivera finished first in the 1,600 (5:16) and fourth in the 800 (2:22).

Fernando Cardoza set a personal record while finishing second in the 3,200 (11:52).

Nicholas Dunn finished second in the 110 hurdles (18.71) and third in the 300 hurdles (50.88).

Samar Singh set personal records while finishing second in the 300 hurdles (46.06), third in the discus (97-0) and fourth in the 200 (25.00).

Argel Arroyo finished second in the discus (98-1), fourth in the shot put (31-7) and seventh in the 100 (12.98). He set a personal record in the discus.

Michael Dennis finished second in the high jump (5-0) and seventh in the long jump (16-0). He set a personal record in the long jump.

Fabian Amparo finished third in the 1,600 (5:21) and 3,200 (12:18).

Alex Garcia finished fifth in the triple jump (31-1) and seventh in the long jump (16-1). He set a personal record in the long jump.
