Central Valley’s fourth-place boys golf team beat Atwater and lost to Golden Valley in Central California Conference play last week.
Central Valley edged Atwater via tiebreaker on April 12 at Ranch Del Rey.
The Hawks and Falcons both shot 234.
“The tiebreaker was decided by the sixth score,” Hawks’ head coach Scott Edwards said. “We got it by one stroke.”
Central Valley’s Alijah Lopez outshot Atwater’s Elijah Cone, 54-55.
Matteo Bonales led the Hawks with a 38.
Victor Alvarez, Armando Guajardo, Dylan Brush and Dylan Jacobson shot 44, 48, 51 and 53, respectively.
Robert Menezes led the Falcons with a 40.
Aaron Brewer (46), Blake Toste (46), Drew Boesch (49) and Noah Sagon (53) rounded out Atwater’s scorecard.
Central Valley dropped to 6-6 overall and 4-6 in the CCC standings after losing 187-243 to Golden Valley on Thursday at Pheasant Run.
Bonales led the Hawks with a 36
Guajardo, Brush and Daniel Jacinto finished with rounds of 45, 47 and 55.
Lopez fired a 60.
Dawgs win by forfeit
Ceres High’s boys golf team secured a split during the Western Athletic Conference’s #2 Quad Meet on April 13 at Dryden Park.
The Bulldogs beat the Johansen Vikings by forfeit.
Ceres High lost by 31 strokes, 543-574, to Beyer.
The Bulldogs moved to 3-4 overall and 3-3 in the WAC standings.
Ceres High’s Erik Hott returned from a knee injury and posted a team-best 85.
Bulldog teammates Jayson Homsombath, Zachary Chastain, Benjamin Larranaga and Christopher Dunn shot 87, 120, 138 and 144, respectively.
